Adaptive Riding on WAMBA Trails
We believe mountain biking should be accessible to riders of all abilities, and we continue to expand access across our trail network through thoughtful adaptive trail design and ongoing improvements.
Adaptive mountain bikes allow more people to experience the freedom, challenge, and community of riding. Working with adaptive riding partners and trail experts, WAMBA is making targeted updates to improve trail accessibility and create welcoming riding opportunities throughout our three networks.
Current Adaptive Riding Opportunities
Mt. Peg offers 4.5 miles of adaptive-accessible trail, including loop options on both the north and south ends of the network and adaptive-access at all three trailheads.
Saskadena Six(closed through August) offers 2 miles of pedal-powered downhill riding on First Drop (green) and Avery’s (blue).
Aqueduct Trails are the focus of 2026 trail re-development, with plans for a central artery loop that will provide accessible riding opportunities. We hope to be online with adaptive trails by the end of 2026.
WAMBA is partnering with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA), Vermont Adaptive, and the Kelly Brush Foundation to continue improving adaptive access on our trails.
Our goal is simple: to ensure more riders can experience the adventure, connection, and joy of mountain biking.
