Monday Night Right And Important Update About Logging Operation At The Aqueduct Trails

MNR and Important Update About Logging Operation At The Aqueduct Trails

Monday Night Ride:

Where:  Aqueduct Trails

When:  Monday September 23rd at 6pm

Who:  Riding is intermediate to advanced level.

What:  First Night Ride. Lights required. We recommend a handle bar light and a helmet light. Expect one and a half hours of riding.

Weather:  Just about perfect, but cooling off quickly at night.

Logging:

Woodstock Aqueduct Company is starting a logging operation tomorrow, Monday, September 23rd. Machines moved in yesterday.

Please stay out of the log landing area at the start of Lower Rum Street and Encore trails.

Trail Reroutes/Closures:

Encore: Closed

Lower Rum Street: a reroute at bottom of trail will take you out to Vondell Road (Class 4 road) to avoid the log landing area.

Spawn of Vaughan:  a reroute in the lower half will keep you out of the logging boundary.

Class 4 Road:  be very careful of logging vehicle traffic from Cox District Rd up to the log landing area.

The  logging operation will continue throughout the fall.   If there are any other trail closures or reroutes needed, we will provide another update.

Many thanks to the landowner, forester, WAMBA Members, and logging company who met on site to flag the areas of logging and to identify where trail closures/reroutes were needed.
